Request to report on the case of delayed execution of judgment against 6 teachers who won the lawsuit

The leaders of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee directed relevant departments and branches to urgently report on the case of 6 teachers who won the lawsuit in 2022 but the judgment has not yet been executed.

On the afternoon of September 17, Mr. Truong Cong Thai, Vice Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, said that he had assigned the Department of Education and Training to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Home Affairs to urgently clarify and report to the Provincial People's Committee before September 20 about the case of 6 teachers who won the lawsuit but the verdict has not yet been executed.

Mr. Thai emphasized: "The incident happened in 2022, but the sentence has not been enforced for the winning teachers for too long. It is necessary to clarify responsibilities and have a definitive solution."

Representative of Dak Lak Province Department of Education and Training informed about the case of 6 teachers who won the lawsuit but the judgment has not been executed yet.

According to the representative of the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province, the People's Committee of Krong Pak District (old), Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Secondary School and Ea Kly Secondary School (now in Ea Kly commune, Dak Lak) must jointly compensate the 6 teachers who won the lawsuit a total of more than 1.4 billion VND, along with interest arising during the execution of the judgment and social insurance payments for teachers according to regulations.

However, up to now, the People's Committee of Ea Kly commune has not been granted funds to pay the 6 teachers who won the lawsuit.

Teachers sue the People's Committee of Krong Pak District (old) and 2 secondary schools for illegally terminating labor contracts.

Previously, from 2021 to 2022, 6 teachers in Krong Pak District (old) sued the People's Committee of Krong Pak District, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Secondary School and Ea Kly Secondary School for illegally terminating their labor contracts.

According to the effective verdicts, the above units must compensate more than 1.4 billion VND to the 6 teachers who won the lawsuit.

In October 2023, the People's Committee of Krong Pak District (old) submitted a request to the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Finance to supplement more than 2.1 billion VND to pay for the group of teachers. However, this request was not approved.

By June 2025, the People's Committee of Krong Pak District (old) continued to report on the delay in executing the judgment against 6 teachers who won the lawsuit, but the case has not been completely resolved.
