Exporting 6 OCOP products to the UK

Delegates performed the ceremony of exporting agricultural products to the UK market.

Attending the program were comrades: Phung Tien Quan, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, Head of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee; Nguyen The Giang, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Department of Science and Technology, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Yen Son, Chiem Hoa, Ham Yen districts and a number of provincial departments and branches.

6 OCOP products of the province are exported to the UK market in the first phase of 2024, including: Guava tea, male papaya flowers soaked in honey of Binh Minh Organic Agricultural Products Cooperative (Yen Son); Dried bananas of Chieu Yen Clean Banana Cooperative (Yen Son); Green-heart black bean tea bags of Hong Phat Organic Cooperative (Chiem Hoa); Lemon syrup and Kumquat syrup of Minh Thao Agricultural Products and Medicinal Herbs Cooperative (Ham Yen).

Accordingly, RYB Joint Stock Company is responsible for packing the goods according to export standards and transporting them to the UK market. The total quantity is 2,200 products.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen The Giang affirmed that the selected products are all typical key agricultural products of Tuyen Quang province that have been connected to supply and demand, promoted trade, and widely introduced and promoted in the domestic market.

Although the total value of exported goods in the first phase of 2024 is not high, this is the initial result of the production of quality agricultural products with an export orientation to bring the quality of the province's key specialty agricultural products to foreign countries.

Delegates visited the OCOP export product booth of Yen Son district.

He suggested that in the coming time, the provincial agricultural sector and localities continue to strengthen production direction, create quality-assured raw material areas that meet the product processing process; support food safety certification for raw material areas. At the same time, promote production organization according to the value chain of safe food products; apply production according to standards and regulations such as: VietGAP, organic, GLOBAl GAP, ISO certification according to international standards, ensuring quality standards for export.

Localities need to continue to support producers in improving the quality, packaging design, and origin traceability stamps; promote trade promotion, develop agricultural product consumption markets through such forms as introducing and connecting consumption of the province's agricultural products, products that have been certified as meeting OCOP standards, connecting to bring products to shopping centers, supermarkets, and on e-commerce trading floors...
