On June 15, at Logistics College 2 (Thu Duc City), the Center for Youth Science and Technology Development (Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union) organized the 15th Ho Chi Minh City Water Rocket Competition in 2025. The competition creates a playground for exchanging knowledge, applying science, creativity and healthy entertainment for young people to promote passion for science and creativity among young people. |

After nearly 3 months of implementation, the contest attracted 150 teams with a total of 450 contestants from 105 secondary and high schools in Ho Chi Minh City to compete. |

The teams go through the following rounds: Long-range water rocket shooting, High-range water rocket shooting with parachute, and Long-range water rocket shooting at target. |

Each team has 3 contestants, working together to prepare and assemble the water rocket launcher as well as fire the water rockets in the competition. |

After performing the "fight", the water rockets created by the young inventors soared into the air and opened parachutes in the sky before gradually lowering their altitude. The moment each water rocket was "fired" created excitement for many people. |

Having just completed the long-range water rocket and parachute launching competition with two teammates at Pham Van Sang High School (Hoc Mon District), Vo Nhat Gia Huy said he had applied the physics knowledge previously taught by his teachers such as pressure and thrust. According to the male student, from that basic knowledge, they applied it to creating a water rocket that ensures the parachute can fall longer. |

After exciting and intense rounds of competition, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to the best team from Le Thanh Cong Secondary School (Nha Be district), including students: Nguyen Trong Nhan, Pham Chi Duc, Ho Ngoc Ha. |

Another team from this school also won the second prize, including Hoang Nguyen Giang Nam, Dinh Hai Au, Huynh Tuan Khai. The third prize was awarded to the team from Bui Van Thu Secondary School (Hoc Mon District). The organizing committee also awarded 17 consolation prizes to the teams. The teams that won the top 3 prizes received cash prizes and certificates of merit from the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union. |
