Crossing thousands of nautical miles to bring Tet to DK1 Platform

On the occasion of the Spring of Giap Thin 2024, the working delegation of the Naval Region 2 Command and more than 100 reporters from central and local press agencies visited and wished a happy new year to officers and soldiers of DK1 Platform.

Despite harsh weather conditions and rough seas, the working group traveled thousands of nautical miles, bringing the hearts of the mainland soldiers and people to the officers and soldiers at the forefront.

With the spirit of "All for beloved comrades", officers, soldiers and crew members overcame difficulties and mobilized many measures to deliver Tet gifts from the Ministry of National Defense , the Navy, the Naval Region 2 Command and the people of the whole country to the DK1 Platforms.

The gifts, greetings and New Year wishes from the working delegation have given the Navy soldiers more motivation to hold their guns firmly, stay at sea day and night, and firmly protect the sovereignty of the southern continental shelf of the Fatherland.

Tet gifts sent to DK1 Platforms are gathered at Port of Marine Division 129 ( Ba Ria - Vung Tau province).

Soldiers of the Naval Region 2 Command bring Tet gifts to Truong Sa 04 ship, starting the journey to bring Spring to DK1 platforms.

Kumquat pots and dong leaves used to wrap banh chung were also brought out to "contribute" to Tet with officers and soldiers of DK1 Platform.

Due to big waves and strong winds, the ship could not reach the rig, so the Tet gifts were put in sealed plastic bags and used ropes to transfer to the rig.

In favorable weather conditions, Tet gifts are transferred by small boats to the rigs.
