Last month, the area infected with pests was nearly 7,600 hectares, an increase of nearly 6,500 hectares compared to July, with common pests such as: golden apple snail, rice blast, leaf roller...

The reason is that early rice in regions I-IV has just been planted, along with heavy rains over a large area, so the area of ​​damage caused by golden apple snails has increased sharply.

At this time, during the concentrated rice planting season (until September 30), the agricultural sector recommends that areas with ineffective 3-crop rice production can rearrange the crop season in the direction of 2 rice crops - 1 color crop; 2 rice crops - 1 fish crop; 2 color crops - 1 rice crop or only 2 rice crops.

Assign staff to closely follow the area, carry out well the work of investigating, detecting, estimating, forecasting the situation of harmful organisms and proposing solutions to overcome them. It is necessary to replicate production models to reduce costs such as: "3 reductions 3 increases", "1 must 5 reductions", sustainable farming, applying the 4 correct principles in using pesticides, balanced fertilization; apply mechanization to production to improve productivity, quality, reduce product costs and improve rice production efficiency.

Localities should review the dike and irrigation systems, quickly repair weak and degraded areas, and urgently complete irrigation works and dikes to ensure agricultural production.
