At the end of the trading session on September 15, VN-Index increased by 17.64 points, reaching 1,684.9 points. The trading volume of the entire floor reached more than 1.24 billion shares, equivalent to a value of more than VND 37,634.3 billion. The entire floor had 238 stocks increasing in price, 76 stocks decreasing in price and 58 stocks remaining unchanged.
The HNX-Index also increased by 4.18 points to 280.69 points with a trading volume of more than 181 million shares, equivalent to a value of VND3,871.8 billion. The entire floor recorded 107 stocks increasing in price, 67 stocks decreasing in price and 51 stocks remaining unchanged.
UPCOM-Index increased by 0.37 points to 110.46 points with more than 55 million shares matched, transaction value of 921.9 billion VND. The whole floor had 167 stocks increased, 86 stocks decreased and 97 stocks remained unchanged.
The market's growth was mainly supported by large-cap stocks. The VN30 basket had 22 stocks increasing in price, 6 stocks decreasing in price and 2 stocks remaining unchanged. The securities, oil and gas, retail, information technology, telecommunications and steel stocks all maintained green during the session.
In the industry group, media service stocks recorded the strongest increase with VGI up 2.97%, FOX up 1.52%, CTR up 3.82% and YEG up 1.78%. The industry and energy sectors also continued to recover. Regarding foreign transactions, on the HOSE floor, this group net sold more than VND 1,318 billion, focusing onFPT (VND 622.59 billion), HPG (VND 178.13 billion), STB (VND 123.44 billion) and SSI (VND 119.22 billion).
On the HNX floor, foreign investors net sold more than 53 billion VND, mainly in the codes SHS (67.58 billion VND), IDC (26.9 billion VND), MBS (19.41 billion VND) and VFS (4.74 billion VND).
Today's increase continued to strengthen the market's recovery trend, as demand from leading stocks remained positive, despite net selling pressure from foreign investors.
