According to Vietnam Airlines, many flights to tourist destinations during peak seasons are currently 70% full. Adding more than 100 domestic and international flights will help the airline provide more than 15,000 seats during the April 30 and May 1 holidays.

With the increased number of flights, during the April 30 and May 1 holidays, Vietnam Airlines will provide a total of 575,000 seats on 2,900 flights during the peak period from April 26 to May 2. Compared to the same period in 2023, the total number of domestic and international seats increased by more than 10% and 12%, respectively.

Tourist flights between Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang, Hue, Quy Nhon, Nha Trang, Da Lat, Phu Quoc, Con Dao... are the domestic routes with the highest load.

For international flights, Vietnam Airlines focuses on flights to Japan, Korea, China, Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia.

To ensure flight supply to serve passengers during the upcoming holiday and summer peak season, Vietnam Airlines has coordinated with partners and relevant agencies to deploy a series of solutions from the end of 2023.

Accordingly, Vietnam Airlines has proactively pushed forward the scheduled maintenance of aircraft to ensure resources are ready for exploitation during peak times. The airline has also rearranged flight schedules to optimize exploitation; increased resources, and focused on optimizing ground service procedures to reduce aircraft turnaround time.
