Lai Chau athlete won gold medal at the 2025 National Badminton Championship for Excellent Youth and Youth Players

(laichau.gov.vn) From August 25-31, at the Lam Dong Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center Gymnasium, DONEXGROUP Joint Stock Company, in coordination with the Vietnam Badminton Federation and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province, organized the 2025 National Badminton Championship for Outstanding Youth and Young Players - DONEX Award.

The tournament had 453 athletes from 25 provinces, cities and sectors across the country competing in age groups: 6-8 year old group: competing in 2 events (men's singles, women's singles); 9-10 year old group: competing in 4 events (men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles); The remaining groups: competing in 5 events (men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, mixed-women doubles).

Lai Chau 's U13 men's doubles team won the Gold Medal.

Attending the tournament, Lai Chau delegation had 9 athletes competing in the events. With determination and effort, the U13 male pair Pham Ngoc Son Tung and Nguyen Khac Phu excellently won the Gold Medal; the U15 female pair Pham Phuong Thao and Tran Khanh Linh won the Bronze Medal.

This is an annual tournament to discover, nurture and honor outstanding young talents of Vietnamese Badminton. The tournament is also an opportunity for young players to compete and improve their professional skills; an opportunity for localities and domestic clubs to evaluate, select and train the next generation of Vietnamese Badminton players in the future.
