U23 Vietnam determined to celebrate National Day with victory

In the jubilant atmosphere of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the U23 Vietnam players are diligently practicing in Viet Tri ( Phu Tho ), preparing for the matches of Group C of the 2026 U23 Asian Qualifiers.

Although the training time this time is relatively short, striker Nguyen Dinh Bac said that U23 Vietnam did not encounter many difficulties because most of the players had just won the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship together. All have formed a bond and at the same time understood the tactical intentions of coach Kim Sang-sik.

The list of players this time is notable for the appearance of Vietnamese-American midfielder Tran Thanh Trung, who played for Slavia Sofia's first team in the Bulgarian national championship before returning to Ninh Binh Club. “Thanh Trung integrated very quickly, was cheerful and united with the whole team. Trung is a quality player and I believe he will play well in the upcoming matches,” Dinh Bac shared.

Vietnam U23 will officially begin their journey in the 2026 AFC U23 Championship Qualifiers with a match against Bangladesh U23 at 7:00 p.m. on September 3 at Viet Tri Stadium. The remaining match in Group C between Yemen U23 and Singapore U23 will take place at 4:00 p.m. the same day.
