U.23 Vietnam finalizes list of 26 players, preparing to compete in U.23 Southeast Asian tournament

On the afternoon of August 13, U.23 Vietnam had its last training session at the Vietnam Football Training Center ( Hanoi ) before leaving for Thailand to train and participate in the 2023 Southeast Asian U.23 tournament. This was also the most complete training session of players who had been called up since the first day until now.

That same evening, Coach Hoang Anh Tuan had a meeting with his coaching staff and decided to reduce the list of U.23 Vietnam to 26 players.

As planned, tomorrow morning (August 14), the Vietnam U.23 team will leave for Thailand to prepare for a friendly match with Bahrain U.23 in Bangkok, taking place on the afternoon of August 15.

This is also a very important match for coach Hoang Anh Tuan's professional work, a match in which he plans to give the opportunity to the late recruits to test their form and integration.

After the match with U.23 Bahrain, the team will move to Rayong province (venue of the 2023 Southeast Asian U.23 Championship).

U.23 Vietnam completes domestic pre-tournament training period

Here, Coach Hoang Anh Tuan will have 4 more days to complete the final preparations and finalize the official list of 23 players for the opening match against U.23 Laos in Group C.

The U.23 Vietnam team participating in the 2023 Southeast Asian U.23 tournament is a group of core players, mostly under the age of U.20, combined with a number of U.23 players. This will also be the Vietnam Olympic team participating in the 19th ASIAD in Hangzhou (China) next September.
