On the afternoon of June 18, the Vietnam U.19 women's team faced the Thailand U.19 women's team in the final match of the 2025 Southeast Asian U.19 Women's Championship.
In this match, the Thai U.19 women's team and the team took control of the game from the very first minutes. The Thai team opened the scoring in the 27th minute. From a mistake by a Vietnamese player, Rinyaphat Moondong stole the ball to run up and handled it very skillfully, then finished into the far corner to put Thailand up 1-0.

It was not until the beginning of the second half that the U.19 Vietnam women's team scored an equalizer. In the 50th minute, the U.19 Vietnam women's team had a sharp combination, Nguyen Ngo Thao Nguyen made a pass in the middle for Hoang Van to escape and was fouled by the opponent in the penalty area. The referee pointed to the penalty spot.
In the 51st minute, Do Thi Thuy Nga made no mistake from the 11m mark, taking a tricky shot to level the score at 1-1 for the U.19 Vietnam women's team.
But then, the U.19 Thai women's team attacked and scored 2 goals to create a big gap. In the 61st minute, a Thai player was fouled in the penalty area and the team from the land of the golden pagoda was awarded a penalty. At the 11m mark, Kurisara Limpawanich fooled the Vietnamese goalkeeper, raising the score to 2-1.

In the 68th minute, Phatcharaphorn Khuchuea fired a long-range shot from the second line, deepening the gap to 3-1 for Thailand. 3-1 was also the final score of the match.
The Thai U19 women's team won the 2025 Southeast Asian U19 Women's Championship. Meanwhile, the Vietnamese U19 women's team finished runner-up for the fourth consecutive time in the regional tournament, after four times of organization. This is the third time that Vietnam lost to Thailand in the final match of the regional U19 women's tournament. The previous two times were in 2014 and 2023.
