Candidates taking the 401st round of the HSA 2024 competency assessment exam

On the afternoon of April 7, the second round of the competency assessment exam (round 402, HSA 2024 exam) of Hanoi National University ended.

The exam took place over two days, April 6-7, at 12 exam locations, including: Testing Center, University of Technology, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Thang Long University (all under the Vietnam National University, Hanoi); Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment, Hanoi University of Industry, Banking Academy, Thai Nguyen University, Hung Yen University of Technical Education, Thai Binh University and Hong Duc University (Thanh Hoa), Ha Tinh University.

The total number of candidates registered for the exam according to the list is 18,213, of which 99.2% of candidates were present for the exam. This is the highest percentage of candidates ever. Many exam sites had 100% of candidates present for the exam.

Professor Nguyen Tien Thao, Director of the Testing Center (Hanoi National University) commented: "Maybe because this year the registration was difficult, the candidates were very determined in the process of taking the test. Very few candidates left early like in previous years. Most candidates sat for 175 minutes or more (the HSA test is 195 minutes long - PV), while in the first rounds of previous years, after about 150 minutes, 2/3 of the candidates left."

Notably, in exam 402, only one candidate was suspended from the exam (because he left the exam room carrying an Atlas with his handwriting), while in exam 401, there were 9 candidates who made this mistake.

It is known that immediately after finishing the test, candidates will be notified on the screen of their test results. However, the official HSA score report will be sent to candidates via mail one week after the test.

Thus, the Testing Center (Hanoi National University) has completed 2 out of 6 HSA exams in 2024. The number of candidates who took both exams 401 and 402 was 29,082, accounting for nearly 1/3 of the HSA exam size in 2024.

The 403rd exam will take place on April 20-21 in the provinces and cities of Hanoi, Thai Nguyen, Nam Dinh , Hai Duong, Nghe An, Ha Tinh... The number of candidates registered for the 403rd exam is 24,250.
