VNA announces typical press works to welcome the 14th Party Congress

These are not only typical journalistic works with profound political, historical and traditional values, but also the crystallization of intelligence, enthusiasm, serious work and creativity of each unit and individual in the whole industry.

On September 15, at the headquarters of the National News Agency (5 Ly Thuong Kiet, Hanoi ), to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam News Agency (VNA)'s tradition day (September 15, 1945 - September 15, 2025), VNA held a ceremony to announce typical products to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party and the 1st Congress of the Government Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

The Ceremony was held live at the National News Center and connected online with Party Committees and branches of VNA's resident agencies in localities across the country.

Attending the event were Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee Lai Xuan Lam and representatives of leaders of departments and units under the Government Party Committee.

Also attending were Secretary of the Party Committee and General Director of VNA Vu Viet Trang; Deputy General Directors of VNA: Nguyen Tuan Hung, Doan Thi Tuyet Nhung, Nguyen Thi Su; Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee in charge Do Thi Trang and leaders of grassroots Party organizations under the Party Committee of VNA.

Affirming the prestige and position of national news agencies

Speaking at the ceremony, VNA General Director Vu Viet Trang emphasized that the announcement of the decision to recognize products to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Party and the 1st Government Party Congress on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of VNA's Traditional Day is an honor and pride, and at the same time a strong motivation for the entire industry to continue to strive, be creative, and successfully complete its political tasks.

Recognized products include a specialized information page on Party Congresses, especially the 14th Party Congress; a photo book “80 years of the Vietnamese National Assembly (1946-2026)” and a photo book “100 years of Vietnamese Revolutionary Journalism (1925-2025).”

These are not only typical journalistic works with profound political, historical and traditional values, but also the crystallization of intelligence, enthusiasm, serious work and creativity of each unit and individual in the whole industry.

The information page on the 14th National Party Congress has been put on a digital platform, accessible by phone or mobile application, providing daily information on party congresses at all levels leading up to the 14th National Party Congress.

This information page not only serves the domestic press, but is also an official source of information for the foreign press, and is an updated information channel throughout the Congress.

A notable new feature of the website is the introduction to the Government Party Congress, one of four Party organizations selected for introduction, creating a highlight compared to the previous website serving the 13th National Party Congress.

General Director of VNA Vu Viet Trang expressed his gratitude to the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee, especially the Government Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission for always paying attention and closely directing, helping the VNA Party Committee to successfully complete its assigned political tasks.

Promoting the tradition of the agency that was awarded the Heroic title three times and has just been honored to receive the Ho Chi Minh Medal for the third time, facing the requirement of comprehensive innovation, with the spirit of solidarity and creativity, the Party Committee of VNA will continue to lead and direct the entire industry to maintain solidarity and unity, continue to affirm and enhance the position of the national news agency, the strategic and trusted information agency of the Party and State - General Director Vu Viet Trang affirmed.

Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee Lai Xuan Lam delivered a speech, sending congratulations to all cadres, party members and employees of VNA on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of its tradition and the honor of receiving the Ho Chi Minh Medal for the third time.

He emphasized that the announcement of this Decision is the recognition and appreciation of the Government Party Committee's Standing Committee for the VNA Party Committee in implementing and concretizing Plan No. 06-KH/ĐUCP, dated April 8, 2025 of the Government Party Committee's Standing Committee on organizing a peak emulation campaign to strive to successfully complete socio-economic development tasks in 2025 and the targets of the Resolution of Party Congresses at all levels for the 2020-2025 term; at the same time, properly implementing the spirit of Instruction No. 185-HD/ĐU dated April 25, 2025 on registering and attaching signs for works and products welcoming Party Congresses at all levels.

Citing the speech of General Secretary To Lam at the 80th Anniversary of VNA's Traditional Day, requiring each reporter, editor, technician, and VNA worker to carry in their hearts the pride of the glorious tradition, follow in the footsteps of previous generations with the aspiration for innovation, the pioneering spirit in action, affirming their mettle and creativity, the Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee expressed his belief that the team of cadres, party members, civil servants, and VNA workers will continue to promote their strengths, overcome limitations, uphold the spirit of daring to think, daring to do, daring to take responsibility for the common good; constantly compete and strive to excellently complete all assigned tasks.

VNA will continue to affirm its role as a vanguard force on the information front, making an important contribution to the success of the first Government Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term and the 14th National Party Congress.

Typical products recognized by VNA

The photo book "100 years of Vietnamese Revolutionary Journalism (1925-2025)" is a typical product to welcome the first Government Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

This is the first work to synthesize the history of revolutionary journalism in the form of a photo book, with more than 1,000 rare photos and documents, mainly from the archives of VNA.

This special publication is 372 pages long, printed in Vietnamese and English, and includes 6 parts corresponding to the stages of development of the Vietnamese revolutionary press associated with each revolutionary period of the Party and the nation: from revolutionary mobilization, fighting for power, through two long resistance wars to the work of building and defending the country and innovation, integration, entering a new era.

The photo book was honored to have General Secretary To Lam write a congratulatory message in the introduction; Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia also devoted dedicated pages to the book.

The book chooses an open layout, large photos, and optimized resolution, ensuring that each image can “tell its own story.” The printing paper, printing techniques, finishing, and binding are all carefully selected to ensure durability over time and display value.

Launched on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 2025), the book quickly attracted public attention and appreciation, becoming a meaningful spiritual gift at the 2025 National Press Festival.

The book is a profound tribute to generations of revolutionary journalists who have gone through countless hardships, steadfastly devoted themselves, been creative and devoted themselves to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.

After nearly a year of preparation, recently (September 14), General Secretary To Lam and other Party and State leaders pressed the button to launch the Information Page on the 14th National Congress of the Party on September 14, 2025 at daihoidang.vn.

This is one of two products of VNA to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party.

The website is built with 6 language versions: Vietnamese, English, French, Russian, Chinese and Spanish; presented through 5 types of information: text, photos, videos, graphics and data. The content covers everything from current and in-depth information to thick documents and personnel files through 13 National Congresses of the Party.

In particular, towards the 14th Congress, for the first time VNA has built a personnel data system of nearly 150 party organizations with more than 1,200 personnel, with information continuously updated before, during and after the Congress.

The information page continuously updates the directions of the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat, especially emphasizing the comprehensive and close directions of General Secretary To Lam.

The highlight of the 14th Congress website is the separate information section about the activities and directions of the General Secretary, which is meticulously and modernly designed.

The website also has a separate section to update on party congresses at all levels. Promoting its strength as a national news agency with a network of permanent offices in 34 provinces and cities and a team of reporters regularly monitoring ministries, departments and branches, VNA has continuously provided diverse types of information on party congresses at all levels.

The special highlight of the website is the system of documents and personnel data of newly established party organizations for the 2020-2025 term and party organizations that have held congresses for the 2025-2030 term.

In addition, the site also opens major topics on important resolutions, bringing the country into a new era.

For nearly a year, under the close direction of industry leaders, especially the General Director of VNA, the process of implementing the special page has been carried out according to the principle of "clear people, clear work, clear responsibilities, clear time, clear results."

Specific tasks are assigned, linked to a regular progress reporting mechanism, creating proactive and smooth coordination. The 9 key information units have continuously held in-depth meetings and discussions to agree on optimal solutions.

From July to September 2025, entering the peak period, the units worked overtime, including weekends, with a high sense of responsibility to ensure the website was launched in the most complete state.

In particular, during the trial run from mid-August 2025, the departments closely coordinated, thoroughly reviewed and supported each other, contributing to ensuring the product achieved optimal quality before officially putting into operation.

The second typical product of VNA to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party is the photo book "80 years of the Vietnamese National Assembly (1946-2026)."

The book is being urgently completed and is expected to be released in November 2025, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam./.
