At Huynh Thuc Khang Memorial House, delegates respectfully offered flowers and incense to commemorate Huynh, expressing gratitude for his contributions to the cause of national liberation and reunification.

Mr. Huynh Thuc Khang, alias Minh Vien, was born on October 1, 1876 in Thanh Binh village, Tien Giang Thuong commune, Ha Dong district, Thang Binh prefecture (now Tien Canh commune, Tien Phuoc district).

In 1900, he passed the Provincial Examination with the highest score and in 1904 he became a Doctor. Inheriting the indomitable patriotic tradition of the Vietnamese people, Mr. Huynh did not become an official but instead engaged in patriotic activities that took place vigorously in the early years of the 20th century.

In 1905, Huynh Thuc Khang, along with Phan Chau Trinh and Tran Quy Cap, went to investigate the actual situation in the South, examine the people's situation and morale, advocate new learning and find like-minded friends. In 1906, he returned to Quang Nam to initiate and lead the Duy Tan movement.

The August Revolution of 1945 succeeded, and President Ho Chi Minh, appreciating Mr. Huynh's talent and virtue, invited him to join the Cabinet of the Government of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, holding the position of Minister of the Interior . In early 1946, he became Chairman of the Vietnam National Union.

In May 1946, when President Ho Chi Minh visited France, he was assigned the position of Acting President (May 31, 1946 - October 20, 1946). In 1947, while on a tour in Quang Ngai, Mr. Huynh fell seriously ill and died, and was buried on Thien An Mountain (Quang Ngai).
