Destroyed a horse racing and cockfighting casino, arrested 24 people

On the afternoon of July 7, the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order (QLHC-TTXH) of Vinh Long Provincial Police said that the unit had transferred and handed over 24 people who gathered to gamble to the local police for further investigation and handling according to the provisions of law.

The group of gamblers were arrested at the scene.

Accordingly, at 11:00 a.m. the same day, the Department of Administrative Management and Social Order of Vinh Long Provincial Police coordinated with the Criminal Police Team of Long Ho District Police to enter an empty lot in Phuoc Nguon A Hamlet, Phuoc Hau Commune, Long Ho District, and caught many people gathering to gamble on cockfighting and horse racing for money.

At the time of the arrest, the police force temporarily detained 24 people with registered residence in Long Ho District, Vinh Long City, Mang Thit District (Vinh Long). The seized exhibits included: 7 chickens, 1 watch scale, 10 rolls of used tape, 10 pairs of iron spurs, 16 chess pieces, 2 dice, 24 mobile phones, 18 motorbikes and a total amount of over 130 million VND.

The above gambling case is being further investigated and handled by Long Ho District Police (Vinh Long) according to the provisions of law.
