According to the organizers, this year's event focuses on electric vehicles, demonstration models and future technology.

With more than 40 new car models launched and gathering more than 60 of the world's leading auto brands, GIIAS has affirmed Indonesia's position as a strategic market and auto manufacturing hub in the region.

At the event, Indonesian Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita called on automotive industry players to be optimistic about the domestic market and actively participate in the domestic electric vehicle ecosystem.

GIIAS 2025 recorded a record number of participation with the participation of 39 passenger car brands, 4 commercial vehicle brands, and 16 motorcycle brands. Strong participation from Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers such as BYD, Chery, GAC Aion, and Jetour, bringing a series of electric vehicle models and advanced battery technology.

This shows the strong electrification trend in the Indonesian market and the increasing competition between traditional Japanese brands and emerging rivals.

Mr. Johnny, Global Product Director of Xpeng Company, said that this car company brought most of its new car models to Indonesia this time, especially the car operating system applying artificial intelligence to penetrate the Indonesian market, including flying cars and robots.

At the GIIAS 2025 event, many new car models were introduced, including Vietnam's Vinfast introducing the VF7 model with two versions: VF 7 Eco and VF 7 Plus.

The Indonesian Automotive Manufacturers Association (GAIKINDO), the event organizer, affirmed that the 32nd GIIAS is an important milestone, showcasing the achievements of the Indonesian automotive industry to the world and a platform to introduce the latest innovations and technologies, contributing to shaping the future of sustainable transportation for the country and the region.

GIIAS 2025 is expected to be an important driving force in strengthening the national automotive ecosystem and the competitiveness of the automotive industry in Indonesia./.
