On the afternoon of November 26, the People's Committee of Phu Son Ward ( Thanh Hoa City) held a conference to deploy and disseminate Resolution No. 1238/NQ-UBTVQH15, dated October 24, 2024 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of district and commune-level administrative units of Thanh Hoa province for the period 2023 - 2025.

According to Resolution No. 1238/NQ-UBTVQH15 of the National Assembly Standing Committee, the entire natural area of 0.87 km 2 and population of 16,152 people of Tan Son ward will be merged into Phu Son ward. After the merger, Phu Son ward has a natural area of 2.70 km 2 and a population of 33,359 people.

At the conference, delegates listened to the draft plan of the People's Committee of Phu Son Ward on the implementation of Resolution No. 1238/NQ-UBTVQH15 of the National Assembly Standing Committee. Accordingly, Phu Son Ward (after the merger) officially operates from 00:00 on January 1, 2025. After establishment, it is necessary to ensure the continuous, effective and efficient operation of the apparatus in the political system in the ward, without disrupting the lives and activities of the people and the production and business activities of units and enterprises located in the area. Carry out the work of handing over and receiving the original natural area, population size and all relevant records and documents of agencies and units in Tan Son Ward to Phu Son Ward to ensure compliance with the provisions of law, strictness, practicality, efficiency and economy.

The arrangement, reorganization, and consolidation of the apparatus and personnel shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Party Charter; regulations and instructions of the Central Committee and Instruction No. 02-HD/TU, dated August 23, 2024 of the Standing Committee of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee guiding the establishment of party organizations in newly established communes, wards, and towns after the merger and some issues on the arrangement and reorganization of cadres, period 2023-2030. Maintain the status quo of educational public service units in Tan Son ward and Phu Son ward. Stabilize the organization and operation of residential groups of the two wards as present.
