RDNA 4 architecture paves the way for entry-level GPUs
AMD has officially brought the RDNA 4 architecture to the GPU game in 2025, starting with mid-range models like the Radeon RX 9060 XT. Compared to RDNA 3, the new architecture does not compete in core count or pure performance breakthroughs, but focuses on streamlining the manufacturing process, improving traditional raster processing capabilities, and enhancing support for FSR (FidelityFX Super Resolution) technology. This allows AMD to create products with more accessible prices but still meet the needs of today's popular games.
RDNA 4 features a new ray accelerator model, optimizing intersection processing and reducing memory load in ray tracing tasks.

Gigabyte was one of the first to introduce a custom RX 9060 XT – the GAMING OC series – equipped with a compact 3-fan Windforce cooler to increase real-world performance without significantly increasing power consumption.
Neat heatsink design, good build quality on RX 9060 XT
The Gigabyte GAMING OC 8G version retains many familiar elements from the previous RTX and RX lines: 3 axial fan design, metal-like plastic mask and brushed aluminum back with large air vents. The overall size is relatively compact: only takes up 2.5 slots and is about 28 cm long, suitable for most mid-tower cases today.

A big plus is that it only requires a single 8-pin power connector – making it easy to install in older systems without the need for a power adapter. Despite the lack of RGB LEDs, this card still retains a modern gaming style with a sturdy frame and mesh pattern.
The three fans operate quietly, without any unusual noise during testing, even when playing heavy games. The average recorded temperature fluctuates around 70 degrees Celsius, consistent with the TDP of only about 180W - much lower than higher-end GPU models but not far behind when playing 1080p games.
Stable performance with FSR and Frame Generation
In real-world experience, the RX 9060 XT lives up to its promise of “maximizing 1080p resolution.” With high graphics settings (High), at Full HD resolution, the detailed gaming experience results are as follows:
RX 9060 XT 8GB Performance Test Results

- Cyberpunk 2077 : average 100–148 FPS depending on settings and resolution. With FSR 3 enabled in Performance mode, frames increased significantly without much impact on image quality.
- Black Myth: Wukong : at the highest settings, the card achieves around 68–113 FPS. Frame Generation easily boosts the framerate to over 120 FPS, although the game has not been officially optimized for the RDNA 4 series.
- PUBG, Dota 2, CS2 : all recorded FPS over 200 at maximum settings, showing that the card works very effectively in esports games.
With 8GB of VRAM, the RX 9060 XT is more than enough for most current games at 1080p, and can even scale up to 1440p if you know how to adjust the graphics settings properly. Impressively, VRAM consumption rarely exceeds 7.5GB, even in the graphics-heavy scenes of Cyberpunk or Wukong.
In addition, FSR 3 and Frame Generation features are built-in, running smoothly in supported games. This is a significant advantage when compared to the RTX 4060 series which only has DLSS, and the number of games supporting FSR is increasing rapidly in the AMD ecosystem.
Suitable for casual and semi-professional gamers
The Gigabyte RX 9060 XT GAMING OC 8GB is a solid choice for gamers looking for a graphics card with solid performance at 1080p resolution, expandable to 1440p, and an accessible price. Its compact design, low power consumption, and quiet operation make this card suitable for both mid-range systems or upgrading from older configurations.
While it won't be able to handle AAA titles smoothly at Ultra settings at 4K resolution, and the 8GB of VRAM might be a limitation for some content creation applications, in the realm of mainstream gaming – especially esports or games that support FSR 3 – the RX 9060 XT performs very well, especially when compared to competitors like the RTX 4060.
With the performance/function it brings, Gigabyte RX 9060 XT 8GB is a worthy choice in the segment under 8 million VND. This is a card model aimed at serious gamers who want to invest reasonably for a smooth experience at 1080p, and still have room to upgrade if they need to exploit more 2K in the future.
