On June 6, 2025, VNG Chairman, Mr. Le Hong Minh, had a meeting with a delegation of business leaders from YPO Pan Greater Bay Area Chapter at VNG Campus.
This activity is part of YPO's international exchange program, aiming to explore the business environment, corporate culture and development strategies of leading companies in Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City. Mr. Le Hong Minh is a veteran member of YPO Vietnam.
Mr. Minh emphasized that VNG’s two strategic spearheads in the coming time are developing the global market and strongly promoting the AI field. Currently, about 30% of the company’s revenue comes from the international market and the goal in the next 2 to 3 years is to increase this ratio to 50%. At the same time, VNG also identified AI as a strategic focus area to make the most of the global technology development trend and Vietnam’s technical capacity advantage.
In the next 20 years, VNG’s vision is to build an innovative creative platform for the young and entrepreneurial community. “We want to create an environment, a platform for new ideas to develop, like the Berkshire Hathaway of the technology industry,” Minh shared. Instead of doing everything ourselves, VNG will play the role of connecting and nurturing startups and young entrepreneurs.
A typical example of this strategy is VNG’s global fintech project, which he co-founded with a friend who is a YPO member. Notably, the entire technology and technical team of the project were built in Vietnam, while the business has expanded to Australia, Singapore and soon the UK. This is a clear demonstration of the potential for international cooperation and expansion from Vietnam.
After the talk, the YPO Pan Greater Bay Area Chapter leadership team expressed their deep impression of the open and dynamic working culture at VNG Campus, as well as the way the company builds an ideal working environment for employees to develop their capabilities. The members especially appreciated Mr. Le Hong Minh's leadership philosophy and VNG's encouragement of creativity, learning from mistakes to grow and develop.
Prior to the visit of the YPO Pan Greater Bay Area Chapter, VNG also coordinated with YPO Vietnam to organize the program "AI Empowerment for CEOs" in October 2024, aiming to improve the AI application capacity of 140 young leaders. YPO (Young Presidents' Organization) is a global young leadership community with more than 35,000 members from 150 countries, founded in 1950 in the US to share experiences, improve leadership capacity and promote international connections.
