Good news: Nghe An's industrial production index in August 2025 increased by nearly 20%

In August, thanks to the community's proactive participation in the production process, the recovery of some key industries and the contribution of new projects coming into operation, the industrial production index in Nghe An province continued to maintain growth momentum.

Accordingly, the industrial production index in August 2025 is estimated to increase by 19.54% over the same period. Specifically: Processing and manufacturing industry increased by 20.67%; Mining industry increased by 16.32%; Production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning increased by 15.17%; Water supply, waste and wastewater management and treatment activities increased by 10.19%.

In August 2025, the demand for goods and consumer products increased, in addition, favorable trade policies from key export markets supported businesses in speeding up order progress.

Some manufactured products grew quite well compared to the same period: Other electric wire and cable manufacturing services are estimated at 1,089.5 billion VND, up 2.2 times; Hoa Sen steel pipes are estimated at 3.0 thousand tons, up 37%; Microphones are estimated at 20.0 million units, up more than 34%; Beer can shells are estimated at 671 tons, up 21%; Charging docks are estimated at 2.5 million units, up nearly 20%; Electricity produced in the month is estimated at 615.7 million kWh, up more than 18%; Animal feed is estimated at 16.8 thousand tons, up 17%.

However, in the month, some businesses still faced difficulties, the consumer market was narrowed, and raw material prices increased. Production output decreased, such as: Fish sauce decreased by 41.5%; BSE speakers decreased by 40.32%; Wood shavings and chips decreased by 36%; Quarry stone decreased by 11%...

In the first 8 months of 2025, the industrial production index increased by 16.41% over the same period. Of which: Production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning is estimated to increase by 27.56%; Mining industry is estimated to increase by 18.31%; Processing and manufacturing industry is estimated to increase by 15.19%; Water supply, waste and wastewater management and treatment activities are estimated to increase by 10.45%.
