When the flood occurred, mud blocked the discharge valves upstream and downstream, and the generators were submerged in water for months, making repair work difficult.
Most of the factory's electrical equipment and control systems were completely damaged and had to be replaced.

The investor hired experienced units and mobilized highly skilled engineers to assess the equipment condition and promptly fix it.
After completing the repair work, the factory conducted a test run, assessed the technical condition and officially resumed operation.
During the flood caused by the impact of storm No. 3 at the end of 2024, Nam Luc Hydropower Plant was one of the most seriously eroded areas in the province.

The landslide flattened the entire management building, killing five factory staff. In addition to the loss of life, the estimated damage to property, equipment, and infrastructure was over VND100 billion.
In addition, during the downtime for repairs, the factory has absolutely no revenue.

Nam Luc Hydropower Plant is built on Chay River, in Coc Lau Commune, Lao Cai Province with a designed capacity of 24MW, including 2 units, and put into operation since the end of 2020.
