This is the second time VNPT Group has been honored to receive this noble title, recognizing VNPT's outstanding efforts in innovation, pioneering in building digital infrastructure and promoting the national digital transformation process.
Reviewing the operation process, the leader of VNPT Group said that nearly 10 years ago, VNPT officially operated the new phase strategy VNPT 4.0, proactively repositioning itself to become a technology enterprise, providing digital services, pioneering in leading the national digital transformation.
In 2019, VNPT launched the National Document Interconnection Axis - a connection platform that helps separate, dispersed document systems in 63 provinces and cities, 25 ministries and branches, to be interconnected in the digital environment. Currently, the National Document Interconnection Axis has become an essential foundation in the management and direction of all levels of government, social organizations and businesses.

The National Public Service Portal platform, launched in 2020, has served more than 3,400 online public services and had more than 7 billion visits. On this platform, for the first time, from the central to all levels of government, the quality of public administrative services can be managed.
In the 2021-2022 period, VNPT was given the opportunity to implement the National Population Database project with a scale of more than 100 million people, spread across all 63 provinces and cities, 11,000 communes and wards, with the requirement of ensuring "Correct - sufficient - clean - alive" data and absolute information security.
This is the only digital identification platform that serves as a premise for developing applications of Project 06, opening up the ability to integrate and share data to serve all digital needs of the State and society, promoting many applications and digital transactions today.
From 2023 to present, many digital transformation products of VNPT have been put into practical application: National database system on cadres, civil servants, and public employees; Public service portal and electronic one-stop information system for the Ministry of Public Security ... VNPT's digital transformation solutions are present in 100% of provinces and cities across the country...
Currently, VNPT is operating 8 international standard IDC data centers. VinaPhone's 4G and 5G digital infrastructure is present in all provinces and cities; VNPT is operating 2 satellite systems and 5 submarine optical cable lines. In particular, with the VSTN international land cable line, VNPT is the only enterprise that owns a comprehensive transmission system including: sea cable, land cable and satellite.
Also in nearly 10 years, the group has made great strides, doubling its profit scale and state budget contribution. Up to this point, digital service revenue accounts for 15% of the group's total revenue.
At the ceremony, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh awarded the title of Labor Hero to VNPT Group.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stated that over the past 80 years, VNPT has continuously innovated, created, and developed closely associated with the revolutionary history and the cause of building, renovating, and defending the Fatherland.
The Postal sector, including VNPT, has always played a pivotal role in developing socio-economic infrastructure, not only effectively serving social life and deep international integration, but also contributing to economic restructuring, making science and technology a spearhead economic sector and a new driving force for the country's development.
These efforts have contributed to Vietnam entering the group of countries with a "very high" e-Government index for the first time in 2024, ranking 71st out of 193 countries ranked by the United Nations, up 15 places compared to 2022.
With the successful launch of two commercial telecommunications satellites Vinasat-1 (2008) and Vinasat-2 (2012), VNPT has set a historical milestone in Vietnamese telecommunications and affirmed national sovereignty in outer space.
Reiterating the country's economic growth target of 8.3-8.5% in 2025, the Prime Minister requested the Group to actively contribute with the motto "look far, look wide, think deeply, do big".
In that spirit, the Prime Minister requested the Group to pioneer in carrying out 5 main tasks: First, pioneer in researching and mastering core and key technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data, cloud computing, internet of things (IoT), 5G/6G, cyber security; invest heavily in research labs, cooperate with domestic and international institutes and universities to create "Make in Vietnam" technology products and services, which are highly competitive, and actively transfer technology.
Second, proactively create a national innovation ecosystem through building an open ecosystem to accompany and support technology startups to develop and create breakthrough “Make in Vietnam” products, services and solutions. VNPT needs to become a “launch pad” for creative ideas, contributing to the formation of a vibrant technology community, connected to each other and to the economy.
Third, play a "core" role in national digital transformation, promote the construction of digital infrastructure; ensure safe and smooth connections from the central to local levels; develop shared digital platforms, effectively, securely and safely serve the digital government, digital economy, digital society, digital citizens and support ministries, branches, localities, small and medium-sized enterprises to strongly participate in the digital transformation process, shorten the development gap between regions; actively participate in ensuring social security, especially actively eliminating telecommunication signal depressions in remote areas in the spirit of State investment and enterprise operation.
Fourth, linking economic development with national defense and security tasks. VNPT needs to resolutely implement technological solutions, contributing to making the digital economy a new, sustainable driving force for the country's development, accounting for at least 20% of GDP and helping the country's GDP growth reach 8.3-8.5% this year as set out, moving towards achieving double-digit growth in the coming years; becoming a core force in preventing and combating cyber warfare, protecting citizen data and the political system in the cyber environment.
Fifth, promote the traditional strength of the Revolutionary Postal Industry and VNPT people to build a team of high-quality cadres and technology engineers with foresight, strong political will, daring to think, daring to do, daring to take responsibility, daring to innovate, pioneering, daring to commit to innovation, international integration, effectively contributing to the implementation of strategic breakthroughs in developing high-quality human resources of the country.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the Government will always accompany, listen, remove difficulties, and create favorable mechanisms for VNPT to maximize its potential, fulfill its mission, and promote all good cultural values. VNPT also needs to propose to the Government necessary mechanisms and policies for development.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and delegates performed the ceremony of placing the Vietnam - Laos - Thailand - Malaysia - Singapore (VSTN) land cable project signboard to welcome the 1st Government Party Congress, term 2025-2030.
