Silently keeping DIFF 2025 safe

The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2025 took place amid the excitement and anticipation of tens of thousands of local and international residents and tourists. The mesmerizing light shows on the Han River are the crystallization of art, technology and the harmonious coordination between many forces. In the success of the festival nights, it is impossible not to mention the silent but extremely great contributions of the officers and soldiers of the City Military Command, the soldiers who chose to put aside their own joy to keep the festival and the community peaceful.

To ensure absolute safety for the nights of DIFF 2025, in the days before the fireworks display, the engineering force of the City Military Command deployed to clear mines and explosives at the shooting range and the main grandstand, which are the key points of the festival. The engineering teams conducted a thorough inspection with a spirit of urgency but not subjectivity. This year, the engineering force was equipped with many new, modern devices, helping to improve the accuracy and efficiency of handling.

Lieutenant Colonel Huynh Ngoc Le, Head of the Engineering Department, City Military Command said: “Bomb and mine clearance is a job that requires absolute caution. Modern equipment is only a part, the important thing is still the concentration, experience and high discipline of each soldier in the formation. Because it is directly related to the safety of tens of thousands of people participating in the festival, we carry out this special task with a proactive spirit and utmost caution”. In the context that Da Nang is promoting the image of a safe, professional and friendly tourist city through DIFF 2025, the silent efforts of the engineering force contribute to maintaining the safety of the international-scale festival.

Putting aside their own joy, the officers and soldiers of the City Military Command are one of the main forces participating in protecting political security, social order and safety. The image of hundreds of officers and soldiers appearing at key positions around the festival area has become familiar to the people and tourists. From important routes, grandstand areas, shooting grounds to crowded traffic intersections, everywhere there is the presence of soldiers in green shirts. At the moment when brilliant fireworks light up the night sky, when the whole city is looking towards the festival with burning emotions, it is also the time when each officer and soldier must concentrate all their efforts on their mission. Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Nhat Vu, Commander of the Son Tra District Military Command, said: “Teams including officers from the District Military Command and militia are assigned to guard, patrol, and protect targets from the outer ring to the core area of ​​the festival, always ready to respond to any situation. Rescue forces are deployed on the Han River and areas at risk of incidents, ready to go on duty as soon as ordered, all are determined for a safe festival season.”

At locations around the shooting range, reconnaissance teams and forces deployed proactive plans to prevent early situations that could endanger the safety of residents, tourists and the fireworks display area. Not only maintaining security and order, ensuring safety for the festival, officers and soldiers of the City Military Command also directly participated in technical work serving the fireworks display. The brilliant and beautiful performances that have made the festival's brand for many years have had great contributions from new-age soldiers.
