Vingroup Corporation sues 68 organizations and individuals for providing false information

Vingroup resolutely fights against distortion and fabrication

According to the press release of Vingroup Corporation: On September 8, 2025, Vingroup Corporation initiated a civil lawsuit, reported to the authorities and sent documents to the Embassies regarding 68 domestic and foreign organizations and individuals posting false information about the corporation on the Internet.

The announcement stated: "Vingroup's determination to fight against acts of distortion, fabrication, and intentional manipulation of public opinion is not only to protect the legitimate rights of businesses but also for the benefit of society as well as the dignity of the law."

Accordingly, 68 organizations and individuals were sued and reported to be account holders of information pages and personal pages that distorted and provided false information about Vingroup; fabricated information about the group's Chairman - Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong and a number of other senior leaders of the group on social networking platforms such as Tiktok, Facebook, Youtube...

Vingroup Corporation said that the false information focused on four main topics, including: the financial situation of the corporation; product quality and origin; legal issues regarding the product and personal information of the leader. Specifically:

Vingroup's debt-to-equity ratio is "very safe"

First, false information about Vingroup's financial situation : social media accounts reported that the corporation was about to go bankrupt due to a debt of 800,000 billion VND.

Vingroup's announcement stated: "In fact, according to Vingroup's consolidated financial report publicly posted on the group's website, total debt is only about 283,000 billion VND, the debt-to-equity ratio is only about 1.8 times. This is a very safe index for businesses according to international and Vietnamese practices .

The remaining "payables" are mostly prepaid revenue received from customers/partners and other payables and receivables arising from normal business operations like any other business, and are completely consistent with the scale of the corporation".

VinFast has mastered the production chain

Second, "defaming the quality and distorting the origin of Vingroup's products, such as social media accounts labeling cars and electric motorbikes produced by VinFast as Chinese goods "disguised" as Vietnamese goods.

In fact, VinFast Company has mastered the production chain from research, design to product manufacturing .

Most of the stages are carried out in Vietnam with a localization rate of 60% at present, moving towards 80% in the future.

Fabricating personnel information; distorting legal issues regarding Vingroup products

Third, fabricating information about Vingroup's leaders, especially Group Chairman Pham Nhat Vuong, as well as false information about Vingroup employees submitting mass resignations.

Fourth, distorting legal issues regarding Vingroup's products; fabricating political issues and State policies to lead public opinion, implying that they are related to the corporation.

Vingroup has collected full information and made records of the violations committed by 68 subjects.

Vingroup's announcement emphasized: "According to Vietnamese law, the above acts violated the provisions of the 2018 Law on Cyber Security and the 2015 Penal Code and the civil rights of related organizations and individuals.

On the international level, spreading false information and infringing upon the legitimate rights and interests of organizations and individuals are also severely punished by civilized countries.

" We are living in a civilized and law-abiding society. We cannot just bow our heads and stay silent while some people arbitrarily violate the law, fabricate, distort, mislead public opinion, and lower the reputation and dignity of any organization or individual they want for illegal motives.

Therefore, we filed a lawsuit and reported to the authorities not only to protect Vingroup's interests but also to fight for the truth, for a better life for everyone. I believe that all Vietnamese and international people with conscience support this," affirmed Mr. Nguyen Viet Quang, Vice Chairman and General Director of Vingroup.

Currently, Vingroup has collected sufficient information and made records of the violations committed by the 68 above-mentioned subjects as evidence. At the same time, the group will initiate civil lawsuits or report to competent authorities in accordance with legal procedures in Vietnam.

Vingroup is also working with domestic and international lawyers to file a lawsuit in accordance with the laws of the relevant country.

At the same time, Vingroup sent notices to foreign embassies in Vietnam and Vietnamese embassies in countries where citizens who own the violating accounts are residing to protect the legitimate interests of the business./.
