The Ring Road 2 project, Tan Vu - Hung Dao - Bui Vien section, is one of the city's key projects, with a total investment of VND 7,020 billion. In 2025, the project was allocated capital of VND 3,218.5 billion.

Due to the low and weak ground, the contractor must use the soil cement pile construction method. This method increases stability and reduces subsidence of the ground.

The section from the inter-ward road intersection to the end of the Hai Thanh overpass intersection has completed 331/520 bored piles; 15/42 piers.
