Mrs. Chinh cleaned around.
Ms. Chinh got involved in the job of cleaning and taking care of graves by chance. She said: “In 2009, my family’s situation was very difficult, we had no land to produce, our children were still in school, my husband and I had no capital, and our jobs were not stable. At that time, my house was located next to the cemetery fence. Seeing that there was still a lot of vacant land nearby, I asked to grow cotton to sell for extra income. Seeing that I often went to the cemetery, some families had their relatives’ graves there but lived far away and could not visit them often, so they asked me to take care of them and burn incense every day.”
For over 15 years, Ms. Chinh has been dedicated to cleaning and taking care of graves. Families from far away come to visit their loved ones' graves and are very happy and touched when they see the clean and cozy place. When she first started doing this job, Ms. Chinh's family objected. However, after many explanations, people were gradually convinced and increasingly understood this meaningful work.
Mrs. Chinh carefully cleaned up.
Every day, around 6am, she is at the cemetery, cleaning the altars and incense burners, sometimes pulling weeds and sweeping leaves around the graves. She also takes the time to water and take care of the flower pots.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Chinh shared: “Perhaps because relatives are busy with making a living or live far away, some graves are rarely visited. I try to clean and tidy the graves, buy flowers, and burn incense to make this place cozy.”

Ms. Nguyen Thi Dang (69 years old), residing in Binh Long hamlet, Chau Thanh commune, said: "My house is not far from the cemetery, so I often visit. Every time I come, I see that every grave is clean, with incense and flowers. I really admire Ms. Tu's heart."
Day after day, Ms. Chinh still diligently goes to each grave to clean it with all her heart. After a day of cleaning and taking care of the graves, she finds joy and peace in her soul./.
