On August 4, at the Vietnam Museum of Fine Arts, the Vietnam Disability Fashion Show 2025 (VDFS) with the theme "Shape of Will" was officially launched.
At the show, the models confidently and professionally presented 5 fashion collections suitable for each person's body shape and personality.
The organizers launched the charity project “Kind Fashion Closet” which includes a series of practical activities for people with disabilities such as building wardrobes for people with disabilities at vocational training centers, disabled people’s associations, schools, etc.; mobilizing donations of recycled fabrics, calling for designs of suitable clothing for people with disabilities.
This is the first professional fashion show in Vietnam for people with disabilities, marking a special milestone in the journey to honor the beauty of will and determination.
The program contributes to promoting the integration of people with disabilities into cultural, artistic and social life, where the spotlight shines on the beauty hidden within each person.
The program is organized by HGI Group in collaboration with the Hanoi Association of People with Disabilities and the Vietnam Center for Vocational Education and Capacity Development for People with Disabilities. The two ambassadors accompanying the program are Miss Vietnam 2024 Ha Truc Linh and speaker Nguyen Son Lam.
This is the first specialized fashion event held in Vietnam with the participation of 54 models with disabilities from many regions. The program aims to honor the diverse beauty of people, spread human values, promote equality and social inclusion.
Speaking at the program's launch, founder and designer Ngo Diem Huong, Head of the Organizing Committee, said that this is not simply a fashion show but a stage of will.
When fashion and art meet in a museum space, it is not just a show but a message that every person, no matter how different they are, has the right to shine in their own way.
The program contributes to writing a new chapter of humanity for Vietnamese fashion, where beauty is not measured by body shape but is felt through willpower and belief.
The organizers hope that the message "People with disabilities do not need pity, they need opportunities to be recognized, to shine, to be themselves" will be spread widely, Ms. Ngo Diem Huong shared.
The event is expected to be an inspiring start for a humane fashion playground, contributing to promoting social integration, for a future where no one is left behind./.
