On September 12, in Hanoi, Nhan Dan Newspaper - the central agency of the Communist Party of Vietnam , officially launched the electronic information page "Communist Party of Vietnam - 14th Congress" at https://daihoidangtoanquoc.vn .

Huge digital data on Party history

The website “Communist Party of Vietnam - 14th Congress” was built by Nhan Dan Newspaper under the direct direction of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, aiming to provide official, complete and timely information on activities leading up to the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam - an important political event of strategic significance to the cause of national construction and development in the new era.

The information page will be updated continuously, with official information sources from the authorities, serving readers who are cadres, Party members, Vietnamese people of all walks of life and overseas Vietnamese.

In the context that the whole country is implementing a revolution to streamline the organizational apparatus and operate a 2-level local government model, the website fully updates information on the Party Congresses of 3,321 communes, wards, and special zones nationwide; as well as the Congresses of Party Committees directly under the Central Government and Party Committees of provinces and cities.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, said that the electronic information page on the 14th National Congress of the Party has a dual mission: It is both an official and timely information channel and a modern digital media platform, demonstrating the Party's aspiration to proactively grasp the trends of the technological era, bringing the Party's ideology and guidelines to the people in a closer, more intuitive and more vivid way than ever before.

Nhan Dan Newspaper is committed to maintaining and developing the information page before, during and after the 14th National Congress of the Party, contributing to creating a valuable digital archive of documents on the history of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, General Secretary To Lam emphasized that the website "Communist Party of Vietnam - 14th National Congress" must be a place to update the program, content, documents, and results of the Congress; be a channel to publish press releases, Q&A documents, graphic data, official photos and videos; ensure accuracy, timeliness, and ease of understanding; guide public opinion; connect and interact.

According to the General Secretary, in the era of data explosion, the battle for trust is a battle for truth. Hostile forces and opportunists take advantage of cyberspace to distort, misrepresent, sow doubt and divide. In such a context, official information must maintain its position as a “fulcrum.”

Therefore, news sites need to become sharp weapons on the ideological-cultural front: Fast but not hasty, steady but not slow, concise but convincing, steadfast but humane.

To operate effectively, the General Secretary proposed to thoroughly grasp and implement six key requirements: Information discipline; accuracy-timeliness; safety-security; smooth coordination; focus on foreign affairs; use positivity to push back negativity. Consider that as the "operational discipline" of the news site.

The General Secretary requested that all content closely follow the direction of the Central Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat and relevant agencies according to their authority; absolutely no speculation; no leaks, no negligence. Set up a clear announcement schedule; synchronously release documents, graphics, videos; provide simultaneously to the press, digital platforms and external channels; the criteria are "correct-enough-fast-concise-good." Operate multi-layered security; monitor 24/7; have scenarios to respond to attacks, forgery, and appropriation; reserve servers, content and personnel; do not "lose the signal", do not be passive or surprised in any circumstances.

According to Professor-Doctor Ta Ngoc Tan, former member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, the establishment of a specialized electronic information page on the Congress plays an extremely important role in the propaganda work, widely disseminating the contents of the Congress, creating unity in awareness and action throughout the Party, the entire people, and the entire army, promoting patriotism, self-reliance, and the aspiration to develop a prosperous and powerful country.
