Launching the book "Voice of Vietnam - 80 years accompanying the country"

On September 4, the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) in collaboration with the National Political Publishing House organized the launching ceremony of the book “Voice of Vietnam – 80 years of accompanying the country”. This is a work that brings together the passion, intelligence and love for the profession of many generations of radio journalists, published on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of VOV’s founding (September 7, 1945 - September 7, 2025).

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Do Tien Sy, member of the Party Central Committee, General Director of VOV; Phan Xuan Thuy, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Trong Lam, Director - Editor-in-Chief of the National Political Publishing House Truth... Also attending the event were leaders, former leaders of VOV, representatives of ministries, departments and branches in the Central.

The book “ Voice of Vietnam – 80 years accompanying the country” inherits the publication “70 years of Voice of Vietnam (1945 – 2015)” and adds many documents, images, and stories from the period 2015 – 2025, the decade marking VOV’s remarkable growth in the context of strong changes in global media.

With a capacity of nearly 500 pages, the book focuses on three contents: Recreating the tradition and the courage to overcome difficulties in 80 years of construction and development, affirming the position of VOV in the heart of the nation; reflecting the attachment and dedication of many generations of cadres, reporters, and technicians, with the noble mission of connecting the Party's will with the people's will; orienting the development strategy in the digital age, on the threshold of a new stage of the country.

Speaking at the ceremony, VOV Deputy General Director Pham Manh Hung affirmed: VOV is in historic days: Celebrating 80 years of raising the sacred and proud call to compatriots, friends from all over the world..., also the beginning of a journey of accompanying and being closely attached to the Fatherland and the people. The book published in these days is truly of great significance, expressing respect and gratitude for the contributions of previous generations who have built and nurtured a sacred value of "Voice of Vietnam" in the difficult steps of the country; expressing the determination and aspirations of "Voice of Vietnam" today, which is and will always accompany the country and the people in a new era.

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Trong Lam, Director - Editor-in-Chief of the National Political Publishing House, Truth, said: The book "Voice of Vietnam - 80 years accompanying the country" consists of 7 chapters, reflecting the glorious traditional history in the 80-year journey of building and developing the station. The book deeply depicts the role and position of VOV in the hearts of the nation - people and people. VOV was born at a time when the young Democratic Republic of Vietnam had just been born for less than a week, taking on the role of "the voice of the nation", the first revolutionary press agency of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam when it was still lacking in all aspects, from technical facilities to organization and force; up to now, VOV has become the leading national media group of the whole country; a multi-media, multi-platform, modern, professional and humane national press agency.

In addition, the book also reflects the attachment, dedication, and sense of responsibility of generations of VOV cadres, leaders, reporters, editors, and workers for the noble mission of the Station in connecting the "Party's will" with the "people's heart", connecting the "voice" and "vitality" of Vietnam with international friends; at the same time, conveying the message about the strategic development orientation of the Station in the future - on the threshold of a new era - the era of national growth.

The organizing committee presented delegates with the book "Voice of Vietnam - 80 years accompanying the country".

During the editing and publishing process, the editorial team of the Truth National Political Publishing House closely coordinated with the book's Editorial Board to review, compare, and check the accuracy of events, characters, historical milestones, and information content of the manuscript based on the official documents of the Party and State that have been published, and consulted with experts on Party history, President Ho Chi Minh , and Party leaders, in order to verify the accuracy of the information, edit, perfect, and improve the quality of the manuscript.

The book is designed and published in two formats: Paper book and e-book. The paper book has two versions: hardcover and leather cover, with a box, and is elegantly designed. The e-book has a friendly, easy-to-use interface, and can scan QR codes to read on devices such as desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, etc.
