Major General Hoang Duy Chien, Deputy Commander of Military Region 4 and the working delegation inspected the work of preventing and fighting storm No. 5 in Cua Lo ward and the Border Guard Station of Cua Lo-Ben Thuy port.

The delegation listened to reports from units and localities on plans to prevent and combat storm No. 5, as well as inspected some key areas in the area.

Through the inspection, Major General Hoang Duy Chien directed units to continue monitoring the storm's developments to deploy effective prevention and control measures, not to be passive, leading to damage to local people.

To proactively respond to storm No. 5 that may make landfall in the central provinces and cause widespread heavy rain, and at the same time, to prepare facilities and build a green, clean, beautiful and safe landscape before the new school year, on August 22 and 23, officers and soldiers of Quynh Phuong Border Guard Station, together with union members, youth and parents of students, joined hands to work at schools in the area.

Activities focused on cleaning the school grounds, clearing bushes, repairing tables and chairs, repairing roofs, windows and drainage systems to cope with complex weather conditions.
