Speaking at the meeting, Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the Dong Da District People's Council Nguyen Anh Cuong said that the 20th meeting is important for the district to prepare for the transition to a 2-level administrative unit model from July 1, 2025.
At the meeting, the District People's Council reviewed and approved 7 reports and 1 resolution. In particular, the District People's Council reviewed and approved the Report on the assessment of the implementation of socio -economic development tasks, security and defense, crime prevention and control and law violations in the district in the first 6 months of 2025; the results of the District People's Council's activities in the first 6 months of 2025 and other important contents.
In the first 6 months of 2025, all areas of work of Dong Da district achieved good results. In particular, the district's socio-economic development was stable. Budget revenue in the district as of June 2 reached more than 10,221 billion VND, reaching 56.7% of the city's assigned estimate.
State management of land, environmental management and protection in the district has been put into order, tasks and targets assigned by the city have been completed according to regulations. Trade and tourism activities have developed, creating momentum for the district to successfully complete the 2025 plan.
In particular, from the beginning of the year, the organization and arrangement of departments and offices under the district has been strictly implemented according to the provisions of Decree 45/2025/ND-CP of the Government , aiming to streamline the apparatus and improve the effectiveness of state management.
Administrative reform continues to be implemented synchronously by all levels of government from the district to the grassroots, with the highlight being the District's No. 1 Public Administration Service Center serving people, organizations and businesses in four wards: Cat Linh, Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam, Van Chuong and Hang Bot, helping to resolve administrative procedures more quickly and conveniently. On this occasion, Dong Da District People's Council also summarized activities for the period 2021 - 2025, recognized and honored 32 individuals with outstanding achievements in activities and oriented the contents when switching to the ward-level People's Council model.
