On the afternoon of March 14, the leader of the Departmentof Education and Training of Ha Tinh City said that this unit had just reported to the Department of Education and Training of Ha Tinh province about the incident of a 16-month-old boy being run over and killed by his parents' car in front of the Tuoi Tho Kindergarten in Tran Phu ward, owned by Ms. Phan Thi Tr. (born in 1990).

The report stated that on the morning of March 10, Ho Bao L. (16 months old) was brought to Tuoi Tho Kindergarten by his mother and handed over to teacher Phan Thi Tr. Ms. Tr. picked L. up and took her to class for breakfast.

At this time, Ms. Tr. saw Ms. Thai Thi X. bringing her child so she went out to pick her up, not noticing that L. had run outside.

Then, Ms. X. drove the car and hit L. When discovering the incident, Ms. Tr. and the teachers ran out to carry L. out from under the car and informed the child's parents.

L. was taken to Ha Tinh Provincial Hospital by relatives and teachers for emergency treatment. The hospital then transferred L. to Nghe An Children's Hospital (Nghe An Province). At 6:20 p.m. the same day, Nghe An Children's Hospital sent L. home and he died at 3 a.m. the next day.

Immediately after the incident, the Department of Education and Training of Ha Tinh City requested the People's Committee of Tran Phu Ward to temporarily suspend the operation of the above-mentioned childcare facility.

"After this unfortunate incident, the unit has asked other groups of children to learn from experience in picking up and dropping off children, always paying attention to ensuring the safety of the children. It is recommended that wards and communes in the area increase inspections and remind childcare facilities. All matters related to this incident must await the conclusion of the police agency" - the leader of the Department of Education and Training of Ha Tinh City informed.

Tuoi Tho Kindergarten Group was established under Decision 158 dated October 10, 2023 of the People's Committee of Thach Linh Ward (now Tran Phu Ward), located at No. 09, Lane 247, Vu Quang Street, Tran Phu Ward; scale of 1 class with the number of children according to regulations.
