Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Giang A Tinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee emphasized the close neighborly relationship between Vietnam and China; the visits and working sessions of the leaders of the two Parties and States and affirmed that this is a solid foundation for localities of the two sides to implement increasingly substantive cooperation areas, bringing benefits to the people of the two countries.
Introducing the potentials and advantages of Lai Chau province such as population, land, climate, etc., the Vice Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee said that Lai Chau province always identifies that maintaining and developing friendly neighborly relations with localities of Yunnan province is a priority goal in the province's foreign policy. In order to promote substantive cooperation between Lai Chau province and Pu'er city, Yunnan province in the coming time, Lai Chau province proposed a number of contents such as: The two sides direct all levels and sectors to comprehensively and effectively implement the contents of the Vietnam - China joint statement, the Minutes of the Annual Conference between the Provincial Party Secretaries; Meeting of the Joint Working Group between Lai Chau, Lao Cai, Ha Giang , Dien Bien provinces (Vietnam) and Yunnan province (China). Research and report to competent authorities to promote the signing of a friendly cooperation agreement between Lai Chau province and Pu'er city to deepen the cooperation contents between the two sides to bring about practical results, while expanding new cooperation mechanisms suitable to the interests and practical conditions of each side.
Along with that, continue to coordinate to effectively implement cooperation in land border management between Vietnam and China according to the signed legal documents on borders and the Minutes of the meetings of the Vietnam - China Joint Land Border Committee; improve the effectiveness of cooperation in the agricultural sector; soon promote the opening of the bilateral border gate of Da River (Vietnam) - Ly Tien River (China) and establish a border market area (point) at the border marker No. 17 to facilitate the purchase and sale of goods between the two sides...
The Vice Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee also requested the Mayor to pay attention to directing all levels and sectors of Pu'er City to actively coordinate with Lai Chau Province in the implementation process, contributing to promoting the cooperative relationship between the two sides to become increasingly deeper, bringing practical results.
On this occasion, the Vice Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee respectfully invited Comrade Vuong Cuong and leaders of Pu'er city and leaders of relevant agencies, units and localities to visit and work in Lai Chau province at a suitable time.
Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Wang Gang - Mayor of the People's Government of Pu'er City emphasized that today's meeting is a concrete measure to implement the important common understanding of the senior leaders of the two Parties and two countries, and is also a concrete manifestation of deepening cooperation in the fields of trade development, exploiting openings, humanistic exchanges, and realizing joint development and win-win, which will contribute to the building and promoting the building of a community of shared future between China and Vietnam of strategic significance.
