On the morning of June 19, within the framework of the opening ceremony of the National Press Festival 2025, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Bui Hoang Phuong announced the release of a set of postage stamps.
The special stamp set was designed by artist Nguyen Du, Vietnam Post Corporation. The stamp has bright colors with the central image of the red flag with a yellow star, on the right is the yellow time mark "1925 - 2025", representing 100 years of formation and development of Vietnam's revolutionary press.
On the left is a picture of leader Nguyen Ai Quoc, founder of Thanh Nien newspaper on June 21, 1925, laying the foundation for Vietnam's revolutionary press. In the lower right corner are the names of the three major newspapers and magazines of the Party: Thanh Nien, Nhan Dan and Cong San.
The background image behind the stamp set features binary digits 0 and 1, representing the trend of digital transformation and multi-platform journalism, emphasizing the strong development of journalism in the digital age.
Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong said the issuance of the stamp set is a practical activity with profound political and cultural significance to honor the century-long journey of formation and development of Vietnam's revolutionary press - an inseparable part of the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.
"The stamp design is a subtle blend of clear illustration style, the use of powerful symbols to convey messages, along with balanced layout and harmonious colors. Each element on the stamp is meticulously arranged, contributing to creating a meaningful work of art," said Deputy Minister Phuong.
