On the afternoon of September 12, the Department of Administrative Police for Social Order in collaboration with Hanoi University of Science and Technology and Vietnam Television organized the launching ceremony of the application round of the international competition Data for Life 2025 with the theme "Hack for Growth 2025" to serve the construction of digital government, digital economy and digital society.

“Hack for Growth 2025” is the official theme of the “Data for Life” Competition season 3. The competition is organized with the aim of finding innovative technology solutions to serve the community and promote social development.

Following the success of the previous two seasons, this year's Competition has been expanded in scale, improved in quality and flexibly adapted to the digital transformation orientation according to Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation. With a focus on "breakthrough" (hack) and "growth".

“Hack for Growth 2025” is in line with the development trend of digital government , digital economy and digital society in the transition period of the nation. The content and organization method have been improved and changed, both inheriting the achievements from Data for Life and expanding the participation of units, businesses and individuals, creating favorable conditions for all subjects to contribute ideas and participate in building innovative and breakthrough solutions.

The international technology solution search competition Data for life over the past two seasons has proven the spread, uniqueness and appeal of a pioneering competition on technology and data with a more special element when expanding its international scope with the participation of foreign teams from Australia and Singapore and many entries from international teams and the world's leading technology experts, which increases the prestige and professional quality of the program.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Ta Hai Tung, Principal of the School of Information and Communication Technology, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest, announced the Decisions of the Minister of Public Security on the establishment of the Steering Committee, Organizing Committee, Jury, and Advisory Board to organize the Data for life Contest season 3 in 2025 with the theme "Hack for Growth 2025".

Launching the competition's orientation, Major General Vu Van Tan, Director of the Department of Administrative Police for Social Order, Head of the Competition Organizing Committee, emphasized: The competition is an opportunity for the Steering Committee of Resolution 57 to have a more multi-dimensional view, affirming the significance of data and the role of young people.

The most important thing is to affirm the value of data. Data is not just kept in the warehouse, but data must contribute to economic development and create value for society, Major General Vu Van Tan clearly stated.

Major General Vu Van Tan also believes that this year's contest will bring a new wind, new breath and new vitality to the youth, worthy of the aspiration to serve the Fatherland from creative ideas and products.
