Breaking up a case, arresting 2 subjects, seizing 36,000 synthetic drug pills in Nghe An

(HQ Online) - Nghe An Border Guard has successfully broken up project NA 1123, arresting two foreigners transporting a large quantity of synthetic drugs and many related exhibits from across the border to Vietnam.

Accordingly, at 9:15 a.m. on April 4, in Ai Khe village, Muong Ai commune, Ky Son district, Nghe An province, the Drug and Crime Prevention Department (Nghe An Border Guard) presided over and coordinated with the Border Guard Stations: Muong Ai, Tam Hop, Nam Can, Na Ngoi and the Border Guard Station of Nam Can international border gate to discover and arrest two Laotian subjects, Co Xong, born in 1994, residing in Nong Pong village and Cha Menh Vu, born in 1978, residing in Phon Hong village, both in Kham Cot district, Bolykhamxay province, Laos, illegally transporting drugs from across the border to Vietnam.

At the scene, the authorities seized 36,000 synthetic drug pills, 1 sharp knife, 3 cell phones and a number of other related exhibits.

According to initial statements, the subjects were hired by a man with unknown name and age to transport the above drugs across the border for a fee of 6,000 USD (about 150 million VND).

Currently, Nghe An Border Guard is expanding the investigation, completing the case file and handing over the suspect and evidence to the authorities for handling according to regulations.
