(Chinhphu.vn) - 100% of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Council delegates elected Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, to hold the position of Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

On the afternoon of September 16, the People's Council of Khanh Hoa province, term VII, 2021 - 2026, held the 2nd session to carry out personnel work under its authority and consider and decide on a number of other important contents.

With 100% of delegates in favor, the Provincial People's Council elected Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, to hold the position of Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

At the meeting, the Provincial People's Council voted to dismiss Mr. Tran Quoc Nam, former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Khanh Hoa Province, from the position of Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term due to his resignation from work at his personal request since September 12. 100% of the Provincial People's Council delegates present unanimously approved the resolution on this content.

Next, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Council also dismissed Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, from the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council for the 7th term, 2021 - 2026, to introduce him to be elected to the position of Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee.

In his acceptance speech, Comrade Nguyen Khac Toan, the new Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, expressed his respect for the trust and confidence of the Provincial People's Council and considered this a great honor, as well as a heavy responsibility before the Party Committee, the government and the people of the province. He affirmed that he will, together with the Provincial People's Committee, promote the spirit of solidarity, discipline, creativity, determination and efficiency; uphold responsibility, dedication and effort to bring Khanh Hoa to develop rapidly and sustainably, soon becoming a centrally-run city, with people having a high standard of living, prosperity and happiness.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Khac Toan emphasized that in the new context with intertwined opportunities and challenges, the province will proactively seize opportunities, overcome long-standing limitations; resolutely overcome stagnation, avoidance, and shirking of responsibility; tighten administrative discipline and order; build a team of dedicated, determined cadres who dare to think, dare to do, and dare to take responsibility for the common good. He hopes to continue to receive the joint efforts and consensus of the entire political system, the supervision and comments of the People's Council, the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and the companionship of the people to realize the development goals of the province in the new period.

Also at the meeting, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council informed the Provincial People's Council delegates about the Prime Minister's Decision approving the election results for the position of Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term for comrade Le Huyen.

Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan was born in 1970, in Dong ward, Ninh Hoa town, Khanh Hoa province. He has a Bachelor's degree in Judicial Law, Bachelor's degree in Party Building and State Administration, and Senior in Political Theory.

During his career, he held many important positions: working at the Provincial Party Committee Office, holding the position of Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office; Secretary of Cam Ranh City Party Committee; Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board; Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Council. He was an alternate member of the Party Central Committee, terms XI and XII.

In March 2020, he was elected to hold the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; from June 2021, he held the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Khanh Hoa province.
