In the second round of the 2023 Asian Cup group stage, China drew 0-0 against Lebanon. This was China's second consecutive draw in this year's tournament. Meanwhile, Qatar won 1-0 against Tajikistan.
After two matches, Qatar officially won the ticket to continue with the top position in the group. Meanwhile, the Chinese team ranked second with 2 points. The Tajikistan and Lebanon teams ranked second with 1 point each.
In the final round of the group stage, China will face Qatar. In case coach Jankovic's team loses and the match between Tajikistan and Lebanon ends with any score, the third-place team in Group A will only have 2 points.
With 2 points, it is very difficult for any team to compete for the opportunity to become one of the 4 third-place teams with the best results. That means, the opportunity for the Vietnam team to continue is showing positive signs.
