Ha Tinh City Market currently has about 1,800 large and small business kiosks, gathering a variety of goods, from clothes, shoes to agricultural products... Recently, due to a sharp decrease in the number of customers and difficult business activities, many kiosks have closed, especially the area on the 2nd floor of the market hall. However, in recent days, many business stalls in the "golden location" on the 1st floor of the market hall that have always operated normally are also closed.

Many stalls on the first floor of Ha Tinh City market are "closed".

According to the reporter's records on June 6, from the outside to the inside of the Ha Tinh City market, many stalls selling clothes, shoes, watches, etc. had their doors closed and covered with tarpaulins, temporarily suspending business. In addition to the stalls that were closed, other stalls were still operating normally, but some traders were cautious and operating at a low level.

According to a small children's clothing retailer at the Ha Tinh City market, some stalls have been closed for several days now because sellers are worried about the peak inspection period by authorities regarding invoices and documents proving the origin of goods. However, in reality, businesses in the market are small-scale, with clothing imported from many small sources, through many intermediaries, each product is only available in small quantities, and the goods are affordable, so it is very difficult to have invoices proving the origin of all items.

The stalls covered with tarpaulins and closed mainly sell clothes, shoes, hats, watches...

Mr. Nguyen Thang Long - Head of Ha Tinh City Market Management Board said: "The Management Board has proactively disseminated to traders about compliance with State regulations in business, ensuring the origin of goods, how to use invoices and documents in accordance with regulations, as well as explaining the process of market inspection and control by functional agencies. The Market Management Board is also ready to coordinate with functional agencies to propagate and answer all questions so that traders are not confused and can rest assured to do business in accordance with the law."

Many businesses on Xuan Dieu Street have closed in recent days.

According to records on specialized streets in Ha Tinh City such as Xuan Dieu and Ly Tu Trong, unlike normal days, the buying and selling atmosphere at this time also became gloomy when many kiosks suddenly closed their doors, even hanging signs "for rent" and "transfer of kiosks".

According to the records, the closed kiosks mainly had business signs selling clothes, cosmetics, mother and baby products, and watches. Notably, the closure of the kiosks coincided with the time when the authorities were launching a peak campaign to prevent and repel smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods.

The atmosphere is gloomy on the business street.

It is known that not only in Ha Tinh, the situation of market stalls and shops closing has occurred in many provinces and cities. The temporary closure of shops not only causes public confusion but also affects the exchange of goods, serving the needs of local people, affecting the business environment.

According to Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khoa - Head of Ha Tinh Market Management Department, market inspection and control activities aim to detect, prevent and handle acts of trading in counterfeit goods, poor quality goods, counterfeit goods, goods of unknown origin or acts of commercial fraud. Not only during peak periods, the task of inspecting and controlling the market of goods is regularly carried out by functional forces to ensure the rights of consumers and create a civilized and healthy business environment, protecting legitimate businesses.

"For a long time, because small businesses pay taxes in the form of lump-sum taxes, traders do not have the habit of getting invoices and documents when importing goods. In the coming time, along with inspection and handling work, the market management force will focus on propaganda and dissemination so that individuals and business households clearly understand the legal regulations related to production and business activities. At the same time, guide traders to complete invoices and documents of origin of goods in accordance with regulations. Traders and business households also need to improve their responsibility, comply with the law, not trade in poor quality, counterfeit goods, goods that infringe intellectual property rights, and ensure food safety and hygiene..." - Mr. Khoa said.

Ha Tinh province launched a campaign to combat smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods and intellectual property infringement from May 15 to June 15 under the direction of the Government . This is an activity to protect consumer rights and create a fair business environment for honest businesses.
