Mother of 9 still wants to give birth to all 12 zodiac animals to 'not waste good genes'

A mother in China is raising 9 children and said she wants to have more to complete the 12 zodiac signs so as "not to waste her husband's genes".

Ms. Thien Dong Ha (33 years old, from Zhejiang province, China) and her husband, Mr. Trieu Van Long, already have 9 children, but they want to have more so that their children will have all 12 zodiac signs.

The family currently has five sons and four daughters, but no children born in the years of the Ox, Cat, Snake, Horse, or Goat. Ms. Thien said her wish to have all 12 zodiac animals came from not wanting to waste her husband's good genes. Mr. Trieu is the founder and CEO of an energy company, while Ms. Thien is also the CEO of the same company. The family has an annual income of about $55 million, lives in a 2,000 square ^meter villa, and hires a nanny to take care of the children, according to the South China Morning Post on November 17.

The couple got married and welcomed their first child in the Year of the Tiger (2010). They have since had eight more children, including one twin boy. The youngest is a boy, due in November 2022. The family is now expecting their tenth child next year (the Year of the Snake).

"Due to my health condition, I cannot have a baby in the Year of the Dragon, so I am hoping to have a baby in the Year of the Snake," said Ms. Thien.

The couple are ready to welcome their 10th child next year.

Thien and Trieu believe that having many children is a blessing. The wife also wants her children to have nine more children, adding that the family is considering renovating the house to accommodate 81 future grandchildren. Thien's family's story of having children has attracted much attention from Chinese social media users.
