The unusually heavy rain on the evening of July 5th caused many areas in Da Nang City to be flooded, bringing mud into people's houses. On Au Co Street (Lien Chieu Ward), the water rose rapidly, causing Thanh Vinh Market to "fall", many stalls were surrounded by water, causing property damage.
This morning, the area around the market was still muddy, with water everywhere. Inside the market, many stalls were closed, people were busy packing up their belongings, pushing mud out to resume trading soon.

According to traders, heavy rain last night caused flood water from high areas to flow rapidly, making it impossible for many people to collect their goods in time. Many items were swept away, and some were soaked and damaged.
"This is the second time this year that there has been flooding in the middle of summer. When we saw the heavy rain, we tried to move our possessions to higher ground but it was too late because the water rose so quickly. We have not finished cleaning up since last night, many goods are soaked in water, damaged, and may not be able to be sold anymore," said Ms. Le Thi Kieu Loan (owner of a household goods stall at Thanh Vinh market).

Ms. Pham Thi Hang (a trader at the market) said that Thanh Vinh market is located in a low-lying area, near the foot of the mountain. Every time there is heavy rain, water from the steep hill flows down quickly and cannot drain in time, causing frequent flooding.
Also this morning, Lien Chieu Ward Police, Da Nang City mobilized dozens of officers and to coordinate with militia forces, security soldiers forces, etc. to assist people in cleaning up mud and soil after last night's heavy rain.
