A young businessman in Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil) unexpectedly left a will of about 1 billion USD to football superstar Neymar - a complete stranger to him.

Brazilian media has been widely reporting that a businessman in Rio Grande do Sul has decided to leave all his assets in his will to Neymar.

The reason comes from the fact that this businessman admires Neymar. He has no children and sympathizes with the life of the Brazilian superstar.

The businessman's assets, including real estate, stocks and business investments, are estimated to be worth more than $1 billion. The entire fortune will be left to Brazilian superstar Neymar.

Brazilian media reported that the businessman, who is in his early 30s, refused to reveal his identity. However, his representative was confirmed to be present at the notary office to answer questions from the media.

According to CNN Brazil, the will was signed on June 12, 2023 at the notary office number 9 of Porto Alegre (Brazil). The will was made in the presence of two witnesses and a substitute notary.

Speaking to Uol, the will's author explained that the decision came from a personal connection to the career of the striker who plays for Santos. He shared that he really likes Neymar and sympathizes with the Brazilian superstar's story.

The businessman said he made a will at such a young age because he is currently facing serious health problems. He wanted to leave his fortune to Neymar because he saw similarities in his life with Neymar.

He further explained about making the will: “I have endured a lot of slander. The story of Neymar and his father reminded me of my father who passed away. But above all, he (Neymar) is not a selfish person, which is rare nowadays.”

After being announced by the Brazilian press, this information spread quickly on social media platforms, attracting a lot of attention from football fans. However, Neymar's representative said they have not received any official notice about this will.
