Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group ( VNPT ) announced a comprehensive support program for business households to accompany the implementation of Decree 70/2025/ND-CP of the Government. Accordingly, in 2025, VNPT will completely exempt electronic invoice software generated from cash registers, remote digital signatures, accounting software and sales management software for business households nationwide.
VNPT will provide free electronic invoice software generated from cash registers, remote digital signatures, accounting software and sales management software in 2025.
The information was given at the livestream program " Tax Q&A on Decree 70/2025/ND-CP with experts " organized by VNPT on June 18. Accordingly, Decree 70 takes effect from June 1, 2025, stipulating that business households in the food, retail and service sectors with revenue of 1 billion VND per year are required to use electronic invoices generated from cash registers and directly connected to tax authorities.
Faced with new legal requirements, many businesses expressed concerns about technology investment costs and difficulties in using accounting and sales software. VNPT has offered free support throughout 2025, helping businesses access technology conveniently while reducing financial pressure during the transition period.
Mr. Do Ke Cong, Deputy Director of VNPT Enterprise Digital Service Center, shared: “ We design solutions to suit all business scales. Businesses do not need to invest in complex physical cash registers, they only need to use sales software integrated with electronic invoices on phones or compact POS machines .”
In addition, VNPT SmartCA remote digital signature helps sign invoices with just a few simple steps, without the need for specialized equipment. Invoice data is automatically synchronized with the tax system, helping businesses comply with regulations while still maintaining smooth business operations.
Ms. Hoang Thi Hong Lien, Director of Tax and Business Consulting at Nexia STT, emphasized the importance of e-invoices in enhancing transaction transparency and cash flow management. With the support of VNPT, business households are confident in overcoming technological barriers, from lack of technology skills to concerns about initial investment costs.
Experts also warn that according to Article 25, Decree 125/2020/ND-CP, business households that do not convert according to the tax authority's notice may be fined from 10 to 20 million VND. With support from VNPT, business households can completely avoid this risk and be ready to enter the digital business era.
