MB accompanies in fostering and spreading Vietnam - Cuba friendship

On September 1, in Hanoi, during the State visit of First Secretary and President of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez to Vietnam, the Party, State and people of Vietnam presented the first installment of aid worth 385 billion VND to support the Cuban people.

The aid was sent before the National Day on September 2, within the framework of the Program to support the Cuban people chaired by the Vietnam Red Cross Society , coordinated by ministries and branches under the direction of the Party, State and Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

The Party, State and people of Vietnam presented the Cuban people with 385 billion VND.

In this program, the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB) is honored to be entrusted by the Party and the State with important tasks. MB coordinated to organize the Launching Ceremony on August 13, 2025, and simultaneously deployed publications and communication channels nationwide.

The highlight of the program is the transparency in the mobilization process. For the first time, MB - the unit that built the Digital Charity Platform - has applied original design thinking to set up a separate landing page (independent website), publicly disclose statements and create maximum convenience for people to track and monitor contributions. This platform not only brings transparency and convenience but also mobilizes community strength thanks to the application of modern financial technology. After only 30 hours of mobilization, the program has mobilized at least 65 billion VND - an impressive number that affirms the effectiveness of the new approach.

As of 5:00 p.m. on September 1, 2025, the program has recorded 1.94 million donations, with a total amount of more than 390 billion VND. MB promptly transferred money according to the urgent task and request of the account holder, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, ensuring that resources were transferred quickly and for the right purpose.

This initial success affirms MB's pioneering role in applying technology, connecting social resources and accompanying the country's important tasks.

Following the results achieved, MB commits to continue to effectively implement social security programs, sustainable development and international cooperation. This is also the way MB joins hands to foster and spread the special friendship between Vietnam and Cuba, the exemplary, loyal, timeless relationship between the two peoples in the East and West halves of the globe.
