The Athletic confirmed that in recent days, Nunez was allowed to negotiate with the "rich guy" Saudi Arabia and has just made a breakthrough.

Accordingly, Al-Hilal gave Darwin Nunez a 3-year contract, with a sky-high salary of 18.7 million pounds per season.

AC Milan are also interested in the 26-year-old striker but they cannot compete with the Saudi Arabian club in terms of money.

Once the two clubs agree on a fee, Darwin Nunez will fly to the Middle East for a medical .

Earlier this year, Al-Nassr made a £60m bid for Nunez, but Liverpool turned it down at the time because they were in the Premier League title race.

In 2022, the Anfield team spent a record amount of 85 million pounds to bring Nunez to Anfield. In 3 years wearing The Kop's shirt, the Uruguayan player scored 40 goals in 143 matches.
