Among the eight teams in the quarterfinals are two South American teams, two African teams, one Asian team, two European teams and one team from the CONCACAF region (North, Central America and the Caribbean).

Based on the results of the teams in the group stage, the four quarter-final matches have also been determined. Quarter-final 1 is between Morocco and the United States, quarter-final 2 is between Spain and Japan, quarter-final 3 is between Egypt and Paraguay while the final quarter-final is between France and Argentina.
