Officials, civil servants, public employees and workers are given 1 day off on the occasion of Hung Kings' death anniversary and 5 consecutive days off on Victory Day April 30 and International Labor Day May 1.
Pursuant to Article 112 of the 2019 Labor Code, in 2024, employees will have 6 main holidays and Tet holidays, including 1 day for Hung Kings' Commemoration Day (the 10th day of the 3rd lunar month - April 18, 2024).
Also in April and early May, workers have holidays for Victory Day April 30 and International Labor Day May 1.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has agreed with the proposal of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs on swapping working days on the occasion of the April 30 and May 1 holidays in 2024.
Accordingly, employees will be given a day off from their normal working day on Monday (April 29) to make up for it on Saturday (May 4). Thus, civil servants and public employees will have 5 consecutive days off from Saturday (April 27) to Wednesday (May 1).
