Built in 2019, the Green Library model of Chu Prong District Ethnic Boarding Secondary School with airy space and scientifically arranged books has attracted students to read books after stressful study hours.

Ms. A Siu Huong, Principal of the school, said: For many years, the school has been flexible and creative in building a green, friendly and attractive library space for students. All books in the library are classified by category and arranged in separate cabinets such as reference books, advanced books, comics... for students to easily choose and search.

Every year, to enrich the books, the school has allocated funds and mobilized benefactors to plan to add books suitable for the teaching and learning program. At the same time, it has promoted propaganda and mobilized all staff, teachers and students to participate in donating books.

The school has focused on adding books about ethnic cultures so that students can better understand the colors of Vietnamese culture.

With the school having many students from different ethnic minorities, such as Gia Rai, Tay, Mong..., the school has focused on adding books with content about the culture of ethnic groups so that students can gain more knowledge and understanding of the colors of Vietnamese culture.

Student Hua Thanh Thien (class 9B, Tay ethnic group) excitedly said: I really like the school library because it has a cool and comfortable space. The books are also very diverse and neatly arranged so I can easily find the book I need. "Reading books not only helps me understand more about the culture and customs of the Tay ethnic group, but also learn about the unique cultures of other ethnic groups in my country. I find reading books very useful and meaningful, both entertaining and improving my knowledge, serving my studies."

Identifying schools as places that clearly demonstrate the function and power of reading culture for the young generation, in recent times, schools in Chu Prong district have invested in building libraries, many schools also have standard libraries and are equipped with many books. At the same time, there is an additional library corner in the classroom so that students can access books easily and conveniently.

At Nguyen Viet Xuan Secondary School (Bau Can Commune, Chu Prong District), Mr. Bui Van Thanh, Principal of the school, shared: In the current era of information explosion, the school library plays a very important role in orienting the reading culture for students. Therefore, in addition to diversifying the books and developing the electronic library system to serve the students' research, the school also organizes many extracurricular activities, guides students to read, and choose good books and stories suitable for their age.

At the same time, the school regularly organizes competitions such as storytelling, reading and following books, reading festivals... Thanks to that, the reading movement among teachers and students of the school is increasingly spreading and developing deeply. Currently, the school is completing the documents to recognize the library as meeting national standards.

In order for the Reading Culture to continue to spread widely in schools, Ms. Pham Thi Thu Hang - Head of the Departmentof Education and Training of Chu Prong district informed: Schools in the district have also focused on propaganda to raise public awareness of the position, meaning, and importance of books and Reading Culture in the community, especially among young people and students; research and apply knowledge from books to life.

In addition, schools also pay attention to and mobilize support from benefactors to invest in books, maximize resources, join hands to contribute to building a reading movement, towards a learning movement and lifelong learning.
