Lam Dong: National Highway 28B is still behind schedule

On the morning of September 10, the working delegation of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee led by Mr. Vo Ngoc Hiep, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, inspected the site clearance work of National Highway 28B.

According to the Department of Construction of Lam Dong province, up to now, localities have decided to reclaim and mobilize people to hand over land to investors, reaching 62km/68km. Compared to the results at the time of August 11, only about 0.3ha was mobilized to hand over in Luong Son commune.

In addition, the Land Fund Development Center Branch 1 has not yet paid compensation and support to the remaining households whose compensation plans have been approved, affecting the work of mobilizing people to hand over the site to the construction unit. The water supply system has 4,345m yet to be relocated.

At the construction site, the sections that have been handed over by the local authorities for construction work have not yet met the requirements. In addition, the construction unit has not yet arranged enough machinery, equipment, and human resources at the construction site, which is at risk of not being able to ensure the progress. Compared to the results at the time of August 11, the construction situation of the crushed stone volume increased by 2km, the volume of compacted asphalt concrete increased by 4km, and the remaining items are still slow to construct.

The water pipe passing through Luong Son commune is still there.

Thereby, the Department of Construction proposed that the Provincial People's Committee direct the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment to promptly advise on the policy of applying compensation for fruit trees and crops not included in the Compensation Price List so that communes have a legal basis to establish, appraise and approve compensation, support and resettlement plans.

Along with that, the Investor coordinates with relevant units to develop a detailed construction plan for the remaining volume, ensuring completion of the project in December 2025.
