From this issue, Hau Giang Newspaper will officially stop publishing, saying goodbye to readers under the direction of the Provincial Party Standing Committee to merge into the new administrative unit of Can Tho city according to Resolution No. 202/2025/QH 15 dated June 12, 2025 of the National Assembly on the arrangement of provincial-level administrative units in 2025.

Thus, the journey of more than 21 years of formation and development of Hau Giang Newspaper has temporarily come to an end. A mission has been completed with many mixed emotions.

From the first issue published on Friday, March 5, 2004 to the last issue No. 4,296 published on Monday, June 30, 2025, Hau Giang Newspaper has always been the voice of the Party Committee, the government and the people of the province. From the early days of the province's establishment, full of difficulties and hardships, being a low-lying area of ​​the country in many fields, to rising to become a province in the top of the Mekong Delta and the whole country in terms of economic growth, many fields of culture - society, national defense - security, building the political system, Hau Giang Newspaper has shared the joys and sorrows, accompanying the development of the Party Committee, people and army of the province. Hau Giang Newspaper always plays a pioneering role in bringing the Party's guidelines and resolutions and the State's laws and policies into life, acting as a solid bridge between the people and the Party and the government and vice versa, creating a great solidarity strength to bring Hau Giang from one success to another, promoting the province's rapid, sustainable, comprehensive and inclusive development.

The achievements of Hau Giang Newspaper over the past 21 years are thanks to the close direction of the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee, close cooperation of departments, agencies and localities, especially the trust and attachment of our readers. We are very appreciative and grateful for this companionship over the past time. This is the motivation for the collective of Hau Giang Newspaper to overcome difficulties and strive to fulfill the assigned mission well.

Today, June 30, 2025, Hau Giang Newspaper has completed its mission with Soc Trang Newspaper and Radio - Television Station merging into Can Tho city, opening a new page with many promises of "professional, humane, modern, close and attractive".
